Artist's Description

Launch Series: US Navy MUOS-2 satellite launched from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral on July 19, 2013. At a gross weight of 14,900 pounds, the MUOS are among the heaviest unclassified spacecraft ever placed into geosynchronous orbit. The rocket was an Atlas V 551, tail number AV-040, the most powerful version of the Atlas V. The Vertical Integration Facility is at the right.
